Nusa Batu is an importer of art and crafted items based in Bali Indonesia. We specialize and are interested in only the highest quality products; antique, rare, or contemporary. We have successfully imported original stone and art to America for over eight years.

From Indonesian islands such as Bali, Java, Lombok, Sumba, and Timor, these pieces represent many different cultures and religions. Many of the works have been created for ritual and ceremonial purposes, some for farming and function, and others purely for art and aesthetics.

 

Most of the stone in Indonesia is igneous, of volcanic origin.  The different types of limestone, sandstone, granite, greenstone, and lava stone vary in color and density. No stone is exactly alike. And the style of the carvings depends on the time period, and from which one of the 17,000 islands it originates.  There are many fascinating differences.

 

There are infinite contemporary options as well.  Original concepts, designs and recreations can be masterfully produced. Our specialties are stone sculptures, vessels, and building materials, but we can fulfill any request. We have successfully sourced and shipped furniture, handicrafts, hardwood gazebos, hardwood flooring, ceramics, traditional fishing boats, building materials and furnishings.
